When finishing my dissertation I felt the need to share how the various figures and tables I had included where made, as well as the source data I had gathered.
However, while I was vaguely aware of the existence of such things as the FAIR principles I did not have the skill nor the time to conform to them during a rather hectic race to finish on time. As a stop-gap solution I thought I could create this webpage and use it to share links to the google sheets I had used in my work.
Unfortunately as I sat down to actually do this work it became clear that it would be a poor solution for several reasons – the chief being that my use of google sheets as a database became increasingly cumbersome. In the end I realise that any meaningful and public sharing this data will require better and more specialised tools.
I hope to use this as an opportunity to learn the skills needed and that this page – or perhaps some better suited place – can be used to share the data later.
For now I will have to say that I’m sorry if you have come to this site expecting more. I will happily share any data requested, but until I find a viable solution I will not publish anything here.
